Team Power Wear member wins Peterborough Half Marathon

Congratulations to Team PowerWear member Shannon Desrosiers on winning the Peterborough Half Ironman (4:44:56) and qualifying to race in Ironman Canada in Penticton, B.C. at the end of August.

She has been using weighted training gear for several months now and is starting to feel the power.

"For my triathlon training, I have worn Hasanen power-pants once a week during a hard bike ride. On a 3 hour ride with the shorts (about 60 miles), my legs feel like I have ridden 120 miles. There is a deep fatigue from them the next day but two days later, my legs feel strong and fast. It's interesting, I have been able to cut my training time in half because of the shorts. I swear by them."

Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Sergei Gonchar is the latest high-profile athlete to incorporate Hasanen Power Wear into his training program. Gonchar, who won the Stanley Cup one year ago, has played in almost 1000 NHL games since 1994. At age 36, he is still looking for cutting edge training methods to prepare for the next season.

USA Hockey Partners Up with Power Wear

USA Hockey today announced a new partnership agreement with weighted training gear manufacturer Hasanen Power Wear. Hasanen Power Wear will serve as an official weighted training gear sponsor of USA Hockey, and will provide sets of its training equipment to USA Hockey's National Team Development Program. Jarkko Jussila wins Kickboxing World Cup Gold

Our congratulations to Jarkko Jussila who won the gold medal at the Kickboxing World Cup in Sao Paulo, Brazil recently. Jussila, who represents the Vaasan Budokan club, competed in the 71 kg Low Kick category. He trains with Hasanen Power Wear.

Publication honors Hasanen Power Wear

The annual publication, Finnish Design Yearbook, has selected Hasanen Power Wear for inclusion into its 2010-11 edition which is due to be released in May. The English-language volume showcases leading "products, concepts, designers and manufacturers involved in contemporary Finnish design."
